I have to be honest and say that I had mixed emotions about this book. I absolutely love Kody Keplinger and have read all of her books. I find her writing to have such a great comedic atmosphere to it I get immediately addicted until the very last page.
Let's start with what I was not fond of with this story. What I was not keen on was the level of lying. I understand why the character of Sonny had to lie and after finishing the book realising more about why she did what she did but reading through the book I did feel that the level of lying got to such a level that it actually made me feel uncomfortable. I understood the situation and why Sonny had 'dug the hole that she was lying it' but had an uneasy feeling when it started to get out of control.
That being said, what I loved about this story were many things. First off is the comedic aspect of the story, despite the content the entire story felt light hearted and that is why I didn't think too much about what I said above. I also liked the relationship between Sonny and her best friend Amy. It seemed like chalk and cheese but somehow it just worked and I enjoyed following them throughout the story. Also the character relationship between Sonny and Ryder was really interesting and really funny at times to follow.
A lighthearted comedic read about how much trouble one person can get into by lying...
