After reading Kate Morton's other book, The House at Riverton, I just had to buy and read this book as soon as I could. Quite a hefty book at 645 pages but the font is not too small and reading this book I just could not stop reading it... I wanted to find out what happened to the abandoned little girl; who she was and where did she come from..... I also loved the fact that Nell's granddaughter took on part of the story and was able to take it to the end... Brilliant!
